Disability Services Victoria - General Habits Good and Bad

Disability Services Victoria

The greatest philosophers and popular psychologists all ask what it takes to live a fulfilling life. Nobody agrees on the answers, but often the ideas and discussions are interesting. Some points worth mentioning.

 Waiting for Help from Others

This is easily misinterpreted. There is nothing wrong with asking for or arranging help. Nobody lives this life alone. It might be better to think of ‘help’ as cooperating with others, and cooperation towards a common goal is a good thing.

If you need to arrange personal assistance, then do so through NDIS and Life Health services.

Waiting, Excuses and Procrastinating.

This is often confusing if we talk about patience. If we decide to do something later are we being patient or are we being lazy and procrastinating. And when does a reason become a justification or excuse?

Wanting to do something in the right time, waiting for the right moment or taking an opportunity when it presents itself; being ready for that opportunity – that is the better approach.

Sometime we need to get on with something now. Sometimes we have to wait for the right moment, or wait till we are ready. It takes some self-knowledge to make the right decisions.

Keeping Busy

It might seems that being busy is better than doing nothing. But meditation looks like nothing even though many find it very rewarding, giving them the right mental attitude to get more done.

Being busy for the sake of being busy seems like a bad idea. We need to do something fulfilling with our time. Effort without achievement is rather disappointing.

Get some important things done in life, and not just things that are urgent in the short term.
